Zepbound and Sequel's compounded injection both contain tirzepatide, so the Zepbound label is summarized here. This is not every possible risk or a complete safety review of a Sequel prescription. Discuss your actual prescription and its ingredients with your prescriber.
Common Zepbound side effects include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and injection site reactions.
Zepbound should not be used if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma, a type of thyroid cancer.
Zepbound should not be used if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2.
Zepbound is not for anyone seriously allergic to tirzepatide or any other ingredient in Zepbound.
In rats, tirzepatide caused thyroid tumors. It is unknown whether Zepbound causes thyroid tumors in people.
Pancreatitis, or inflammation of the pancreas, has been observed with Zepbound and similar medicines.
Gallbladder problems have also been reported. Dehydration from side effects can lead to sudden kidney injury.
Using Zepbound with insulin can raise the risk of low blood sugar, including severe cases.
The label advises telling healthcare providers about any planned surgery or procedure.
The label advises stopping Zepbound when pregnancy is recognized, because weight loss offers no benefit then and may cause fetal harm.
Zepbound may make oral birth control pills less effective. The label advises a non-oral method, or an added barrier method, for four weeks after starting Zepbound and after each dose increase.
Separately, the FDA notes that poor compounding can result in contamination or too much or too little active ingredient, which can cause serious harm.

Sequel offers tirzepatide injections to adults 18 and older in every state except Louisiana and Mississippi.
What does the plan price include, and how does billing work?
Your plan price covers your clinical assessment, your medication, customer support from both AI and real people, and the Sequel platform. You'll see the total at checkout before you pay.
You can choose a one-, two- or three-month plan. With Auto-Refill on, you're billed each cycle until you turn it off in Billing. You can cancel future renewals any time; to avoid the next charge, cancel at least 72 hours before your next billing date. If you cancel, payments you've already made aren't refunded.
What's in each injectable vial?
Each vial contains tirzepatide and 0.5 mg/mL of vitamin B6. The labeled strength, 10 or 20 mg/mL, refers to tirzepatide, and doses are based on that number.
The vial size in the catalog is a package option, not your dose. Your clinician decides your dose.
Does Sequel take insurance?
No. Sequel doesn't bill insurance, so you pay directly at checkout. You can submit the expense to your HSA or FSA yourself; whether you're reimbursed depends on your plan.
What happens if the clinician decides I am not eligible?
Sequel's published Cancellation and Refund Policy addresses this for Subscription Services. Confirm whether that policy applies to your purchase before you pay. If it does and the healthcare provider concludes you are not clinically eligible for those services, the Subscription Service is cancelled. You receive a refund for the unused portion of the amount paid for the current term. The value of services already provided, such as a provider's review of your intake, is deducted from that refund. No further billing occurs.
